The propaganda that traps most of the population is the notion that the State exists in opposition to violence and theft. When in reality, the State itself is the violence and theft.

And as long as the State exists, there is always a crisis the State wants to solve. You just have to give a bit of your freedom. After enough crisis, there’ll be no freedoms left.
It doesn’t matter whether a crisis is a real one (earthquake, tsunami) or made up (covid, climate). Just the perception of a crisis is enough.
If there is no crisis, one will be manufactured.
It's just a gang that doesn't like competition, but they will periodically stir up destructive criminals in order to create more popular demand for state supplied "security."
