Nice that she's still around for you to do that. All of my grandparents are gone long ago but I did get some stories out of them. My grandma's family was so poor during the war time, they had to just eat whatever they found (usually grown outside). My great grandpa died fighting the nazis

My grandfather fought in WW2 and passed in 2019. Talking to him about the world the last few years of his life were some wild discussions. He openly admitted that the modern world was just moving too fast for him to keep up.
