All #carnivores should take their kids to a slaughterhouse to show them the cruelty they are promoting.

It's actually a joke that a human animal calls itself a carnivore... Because we don't have fangs, claws, talons or anything like that and our digestive tract is much too alkaline! But yes... we are very strange animals... Also the only ones who cook food at all 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
I would be about as likely to take my kids to either. I don't really care.
Being a person is just better than being an animal. If i was a cow or a chicken I'd probably kill myself if it meant a person would get to eat me.
I think it’s important to know what’s going on in real life. Also the happy cows on the green grass we see printed on the milk bottles… is 99% not what is in real life. Or the egg industry…it’s just pure cruelty… our kids should be aware of what really goes on… slaughterhouses should have glass walls!
Really? Is that the best that you can come up with? Slaughterhouses are the last thing anyone thinks or cares about, but it's certainly not for something petty like opaque walls, or children not being taken to slaughterhouses.
It's because the creatures being taken to slaughterhouses are inferior beings. It's because they aren't people. It's because they wouldn't be capable of having a single conversation with a human about the slaughterhouse or their beliefs about it. Until other animals are capable of advocating for themselves, like even a child knows how to do, then they will contjnue to get what they deserve. No matter how many class trips you organize and glass windows you install.
So can we just kill people with disabilities? Those who are deaf or mute, for example? Those who can't articulate? Are they also inferior? Think about it. That's exactly the problem. We humans are intelligent beings, we can discuss, reflect, etc. and we should be aware that we can stand up for those who can't defend themselves. Animals have feelings and memories just like we do. They can cry and feel joy and fear! Just because they don't speak our language doesn't mean they aren't intelligent. I find that so outrageous. That people put themselves above animals. It's like in the past, when gypsies and dwarfs were put in cages in the circus to be observed, etc. I expect a bit more empathy and intelligence from humanity!
Thank you for your questions. To respond, people who are deaf or mute are still people and I don't care about whether someone is superior or inferior if it's in some other way. However, if a human is so brain damaged or antisocial that they will never talk or write or sign with another human being then their beliefs don't deserve respect.
I notice that you decided to start bringing up how other animals have intelligence and emotion, but I'm not sure why. Were you responding to something I said?
Seems like you haven’t been blessed with a lot of empathy but at least you’re honest.
Do you think empathy has anything to do with preventing children from seeing slaughterhouses? Can you tell me where you got the impression that I'm lacking in empathy?
If your children see cows panicking at a slaughterhouse, if they see pigs crying, because they can smell their death...maybe empathy ocures, incase they are not completely numb... Children in the states believe that milk comes from the supermarket! They don't even realise, that a cow had been violently impregnated by a human who reached into her body with his arm and artificially inseminated her, then gave birth to a baby after 9 months, then in the same hour after birth her child was taken away, so the milk is for human consumption!
I mean it's important to know where our food comes from. To take conscious desicions...
Sorry I took so long to reply, I don't know why I miss my Nostr notifications so often.
You're right. Children are plenty capable of feeling empathy and sympathy for animals. When children learn about what it takes to get meat, they often do ask "why."
But my mom finds that all it takes to get them to accept the treatment of animals is to say that it's how we get our meat, and to ask them what else we could possibly do. That tends to address their concerns pretty well.
Only if all vegans and vegetarians should be shown all the harm caused by farming to insects and bees etc.
While we're at it, just starve children.
Have you ever thought about what cows, pigs and chickens eat, before getting eaten by humans? Yes, you guessed right: plants! And that is the real problem with agriculture...monoculture I should say! You need a lot more plants to make a steak than for a person who eats plants directly.
Why do I even have to mention this 🤦🏽♀️
plant -> animal -> human
vs
plant -> humane
It is quiet logic, that your whole argument is a fallacy.
