it's been a while since you bought clothes then. $25 is a typical price for a tshirt these days, and that's less fabric and more simple
And thereโs a pink tax. Dresses tend to be more expensive than any other clothing items. ButโฆI can still find dresses for like 10 buck, just not 100% cotton like this one

haha, idk what to say... i went out of my way to spend about double the price on some nylon/cotton pants from a boutique tactical clothing brand for a very specific reason
a) i hate polyester
b) these pants are gonna last me about 5 years before they get bad tears and holes in them
most of the damage that is being done to them is from my cat tho, but hey, these things are made for war

just want to point out how deceiving retail is these days. the "original" $129 price is already printed on the tag with a line through it which means they never meant to sell it at that price. the "real" price underneath is actually $59.99.
so you paid $29 for it which is actually a 50% savings. except the sticker that's on it says it's a 77% savings which it never was because they never meant to sell it at that price.
I'm not saying you got scammed. I think $30 is a very reasonable price for a cotton dress with a simple, cute design
But it's not a deal. you did not "save money" they just want you to think you did so you'd brag about it to your people and people will be like "omg! where'd you get that " and the you'd tell them TjMaxx or whatever.

Thatโs because I got it at saks off 5th. The 129 price is what they sold it for when it was in the actual store, the 59.99 price is when it got to saks off 5th (their discount store) and then they discounted it further. Either way I was gonna buy it because I fell in love ๐
saks off 5th and other outlet stores will design and produce pieces specifically for the outlet stores. Not saying that this one was, but it is WAY more common than "this piece didn't sell at the main store, we're sending it to the outlet for a discount"
it definitely is a good buy though. I love the color!
Bahaha yeah either way. My dad always used to say when I was like โit was 50% off, I saved 20 bucksโ that โI still lost 20 dollarsโ which always killed my buzz ๐

I would agree and itโs okay, Iโm used to it ๐ I have a limit in my head for what Iโm willing to spend on particular items whether they are discounted or not and rarely shop these days, so Iโm safe ish
