Engineering has generally been "close enough to the metal" that most engineers tend to be relatively sane & rational & grounded in reality. So I guess it makes sense that the most abstract forms of engineering would be infected with complete idiocy first. I can't decide if that's all it is, or if the gender confused woke tards are actually a common govt means of attacking projects & eliminating the most competent who are an obstacle to compromising the overall security of a project.

It's religious discrimination. They're forcing their woke religion on everyone else. If you don't affirm their defacto religious claim of self-identity as being supreme over and above all other rights, they are religiously compelled to shun and excommunicate.
Their religion is fundamentally contra-traditional self-identification relative realism. It is downstream of feminism, the view that women and men are not fundamentally distinct. It's the result of the mindset that "you can be anything you want if you believe in it enough."

From this misconception, a world of disalignment from reality follows. It is magical thinking, forced upon people in the manner that a central planner forces a square peg through a round hole using a sledgehammer.
Yes, indeed. In a way, it is not the mind as a whole but the emotions that guide "their reality." I am not free from my own emotions influencing my perception of reality, I freely admit, but the emotions are not to be trusted but verified, much like many other things.
Our model of the world needs constant scrutiny. It is only in this way that we may approach Truth, and for that matter, Goodness and Beauty also.
Often, engineers are easy targets. Disconnected from the wider public, socially awkward, good suspense of disbelief, smart and detail oriented. You can’t tell people what to think, but you can tell them what to think about. Get them to try to solve a problem - framed from the intended angle. The solution for „how“ can justify a position. „How can we make distribution x more accessible for democratic y? … Oh, that is a great idea!“
Yup. We must separate objective reality from our perceptions. We don't create reality, but we can interact with it. Error-correction and ethical principles grounded in practicality is necessary. If our map is not aligned with reality, then it is our map that must change.
