I loved BTC more when it was just our little secret.

I know growth is best for BTC but it feels dirty seeing Fink & others talk so much about it.

Sorry, not sorry

One possibility I see, however unlikely, is that it loses steam and traction in the institutional world for a while or it gets shunned so heavily in the US that it just goes back to being a secret little circular economy. I am probably not right though well

You may be on to something. Who knows. I just know how I feel in the gut.

meh I'm probably not lol

I hate the ETF involvement, I don't trust them to have full reserve, and since its cash in cash out we can't wreck them with a run on bitcoin

🎯🎯yup. It’s the opposite actually. They can play the price now & wreck HOLDERS when it suits them.

Most of these ETFs hold their bitcoin at Coinbase so Coinbase would have to collude with the ETFs to be fractional reserve. Unlikely IMO

I'm sure bankers wouldn't ever collude (looks at federal reserve) hmmm.... Maybe they would

You may be right, just saying it’s unlikely. Brian Armstrong may be misguided with his Coinbase shitcoin casino but I don’t think he is a crook, and don’t think he wants to go to jail for running a fraudulent publicly traded audited company.

🤝

It feels odd hearing mainstream media talk about with such limited understanding

The ones talking may seem to have limited understanding. The ones behind the scenes have a much deeper understanding, especially as it relates to mechanisms WE have very little understanding of.

Definitely. How the ETF works, or how they’ll use it to manipulate price is what I want to know

Nobody knows. The deeper I dig the more confusing it is.

Settlement days, actual BTC buying, fractional percentages, GBTC milkshakes, spot vs futures play, etc.

Reminds me of the bitcoin saving accounts in 2021. All the podcasts were talking about it. But it never made any sense. Because the yield never existed.

I wonder how and how many will get rekt this time

🎯🎯🫡Blockfi, Celsius, Voyager, FTX to name a few.

Free yield.

They ALL went the route of fractional BTC & this seems to be where the ETF’s will head as well. IMO.

Fractional = eventual death.

I totally agree. They’ll have to break the 1:1 reserve to make it more profitable.

Play fiat games win fiat prizes

Time will tell and we look nuts talking about it so soon after launch probably but I could not agree more.

The temptation will be too strong. Fiat games will be played. Fiat prizes will be won.
