Sad to see all those Bitcoin people who typically say they dislike the state and want to be left alone and argue to not trust the state in any case now cheer for a state to invade and loot and how easily they fall for the state's propaganda without questioning anything and completely ignoring any history...

I couldn't agree with you more, I said something very similar. It was completely wrong and definitely only for financial gain
Bitcoiner class of 2025

So you're saying bitcoiners are actual people who happen to like bitcoin?
just the same dumb sheep they claim not to be.
In their favour, it's getting increasingly tough nowadays to not fall for ai generated crap.
Preaching bitcoin will end war, then they praise a pedophile for attacking Venezuela to prevent them using Bitcoin.
Venezuela were using Bitcoin to get past american sanctions, they were using Bitcoin to avoid war.
War mongers who preach shit they don't believe to zap farm on nostr let their masks slip.
The one example of what they have all been preaching and they chose to support a pedophile against it.
Yep. At the end of the day it’s all about personal gain. Bitcoin or fiat, everyone is about money. This is no way to live a life but that’s unfortunately most people nowadays. 🫡
Taking out their corrupt leader, sure. I can't complain as long as there is consensus. It's everything after that I will have issue with.
so which all corrupt leaders of the world should be taken out?
and what happens then?
when was this ever a good idea?
can you even define the "corrupt" that you use there?
If their people applause it then who am I to complain. I am not applauding it. It's more like permission vs forgiveness. Given the majority in that country are relieved, I can at least forgive the state, at least more so than every other atrocity they perform.
who tells you they do and it’s a majority?
who and how many people would applaude if Trump (or pretty much any leader is taken out?)
seem to me you question nothing.
I just looked at the inflation rate since he took power.
so let's invade all countries with a high inflation rate?
and I guess you know the world is not as simple as just one number. in the context of forced petro-dollar, sanctions, etc.
I don't understand. Am I supposed to have sympathy for a countries leader? Fuck that guy.
No, but I hope we see those double standards. and I am sad that people who normally claim never trust the state are now blindly cheering the state to force others.
Yes, I also saw some people cheering on the state. It was mostly the same people who were cheering on the strategic bitcoin reserve. While I agree with you, I can't help feeling happy for those in the country that may feel a bit relieved despite how naive that may be. Taking out his leader wasn't so bad IMO, but I can guarantee the power vacuum it created will result in much more state meddling which is going to be much worse from a precedent perspective. As if the economic hitman revelations weren't bad enough. This is getting normalized.
+1 +1 on this!!
and I think similar things can be said about taking out any leader in the world. People will cheer for Trump being taken out and there will be people who will be better of. Same for any EU country...there will be people cheering and being better of.
generally I think it's a colonial mindset to think this only applies to countries like Venezuela (with which was meddled for way more than a decade.)
Especially the typical critical people need to stay with their principles and question things. "don't trust, verify" and such..
One can hold both views - to be unhappy about the operation (if you’re an American especially) and to be happy for the people who feel relief. They are not in conflict.
imo a naive view that's only there to make you feel ok and that you do not need to ask any questions.
just look at history.
What’s so naive about it? We can be fed up with coups and meddling in other countries / starting conflicts while feeling some relief for the people who were oppressed.
it's a feel good argument. who shows you some smiling faces? how did it turn out in history?
you think they are less oppressed now because some foreigners want to rule?
how old are you? when did they tell you that last time and how did it work out?
"we invade and loot, but here look at some smiling faces, all is good. don't ask any questions."
Colonial rule has always been popular with folks on the ground, 100% satisfaction rating.
*Disclaimer - may not be satisfied.
That’s not what’s I’m saying at all. I’m NOT happy about this and I don’t feel good that it happened. And I’m not saying it’s all magically resolved. I don’t want to see this happen. History shows US meddling only creates more problems down the road - Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Iraq. I’m not ignorant, nor naive. I’ve only heard a few accounts of actual Venezuelans expressing relief and I’m acknowledging their thoughts. I didn’t look at any smiling faces. And I’m not defending this act nor justifying it.
It remains to be seen if anyone actually benefits who is actually oppressed, but if they do, I’m glad they might have a chance to experience a better life, that is all. I am happy for the individual IF it works out for them - but I’m not saying it will with any certainty.
I have personally lived through a similar event and it benefited me significantly. I don’t say which exactly but it was also through foreign meddling and it actually turned out temporary better for me and my family. I’m not 5 🤣
great, happy for you.
(my post here also was is about if it is good/bad. but the lack of questioning and the sudden support for a state from people who always claim to reject the state. People who don't want to be forced by the state now cheer that the state forces others to something)
I haven’t seen anyone on nostr cheering it on (maybe I muted them already?) or maybe it’s from X? I’m not sure, I’m not on X.
yes,
I just try to say that this is imo the exact propaganda and distraction that makes it work and they want one to believe in.
For sure some people will be benefit from new rulers, just as some people had benefits from the current rulers. There is no doubt.
There can be nuance in all of this. It’s not all black and white good and evil. Sure, it may be spun whichever way is beneficial, I can’t control that.
So you're in favour of removing Trump from office?
You know he is a serial pedophile, a felon, a war criminal etc.
That sounds corrupt to me, what did Maduro do? Refused to bow to the globalist banking cartels?
Using Bitcoin to get around American sanctions?
Seriously? Owning machine guns?
Why do American gun laws apply to other countries now?
Creating a power vacuum for more pathological leaders solves nothing.
i have a venezoelan friend. he is happy. maduro was a big part of orangepilling him. as long as he‘s happy, i am happy for him. what tf do i know about his countries history and personal experiences. nothing
I have an imaginary friend who is also happy about it.
But in real life people are not happy.
The only ones celebrating are traitors in Miami, and Zionists

I‘m sure there are people on both sides. I cannot determine who‘s the majority.
I prefer to trust my friends judgement who is a venezuelan who fled the country because he was starving.
Are you from Venezuela? What‘s your take on this?
I don’t think it’s that simple. I can oppose the state and simultaneously define Maduro, Putin, and their ilk as parasitic scum unworthy of even one more breath or photon of sunlight. Maybe the view of many is essentially, “My enemy’s enemy is my friend.”
it’s about not questioning the state and cheering what they tell you.
but seems you passionately like their propaganda.
