Instant accounts with no email or phone is really what sets Nostr apart. Even if it’s not “required”, asking for email should be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS.

My only beef with typical nsec bunker implementations. nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft nostr:npub1zuuajd7u3sx8xu92yav9jwxpr839cs0kc3q6t56vd5u9q033xmhsk6c2uc

The nsecbunker use case is one that is deliberately built to feel familiar to users. I fully agree that instant accounts without reliance on other systems (email/phone) is one of nostr’s super powers but we have a long way to go before users are comfortable with that model.

Maybe not so long?

I hate email, I put that there as a proof of concept; just rip it out and run your own; I certainly will take it out from mine, it doesn’t event save that string in the database!

Yeah, avoid evil emails but force users install custodial lightning wallets or run their own lightning nodes 😂

You won’t believe it of course, but you are allowed to use nostr without email/phone/account (by relays) only because nobody actually uses nostr today
