Another newbie question: why don't I see a lightning icon in my profile on Primal?

I believe I have my lightning wallet information entered correctly as my profile on Nosta.me has the lightning icon.

So it looks like there are two subtly different versions of your profile data around. The latest one on the Primal relay does not have the lightning icon. There's one created just a split second earlier on the Snort relay that has the icon. No way to know how that came around.

Profile updates should really be blasted out across many (or all) relays instead of just one or a few, but many clients don't seem to do that.

When Nosta tries to connect to relays, they sometimes refuse. If that happens, and there are multiple versions of your profile floating around, you may see outdated information.

Sounds very problematic, but these things are improving continuously. We just need to have a little patience with Nostr for the time being.

Thank you for the detailed information. Sounds like this is one of the things you encounter when being early to a new technology.

Yes, definitely. It's also helpful to let the project teams know about these things. The more information they have, the better they can address those problems.
