That is a good idea about bringing your own nsec.
Keys are generated from the recovery phrase, there is unfortunately no way to do this cryptographic process backwards.
onboarding completato
What would you remove from Nosta onboarding?
Nosta stats are public, if you're curious: https://eu.umami.is/share/Jmc84OrAe0BFvHB8/nosta.me
Definitely needs to be easier and better integrated across clients.
Nosta tries to respect NIP-89 and link out to clients that the user recommends. First, the user who created the content, second the reader, and then it falls back to some common/reliable clients. That only works if users post those recommendation/preference events. Maybe that needs to become easier.

Should be fixed now. It was just the text not wrapping properly, right? Or are there other problems?
Looks great over here. Which device and browser do you use? That will help narrow down what the problem might be.
A minor update just rolled out, updating the profile creation flow to show the new standard format (nsec) for private keys. Login accepts both new and old formats (but you really should use an extension).
Some libraries got updated, which required a few code tweaks. Reach out if you notice anything not working as it should.
Next up is implementation of a dedicated Nosta relay to provide reliable storage and retrieval of basic profile info. Goal is to speed up site load times and reduce "profile not found" situations.
Nice. True, if you just want a super clean view, then this is great. Nosta tries to be more playful and colorful, and also shows activity other than notes (blog posts, files, badges...). Different tools for different purposes.
this looks significantly better to me than the current nosta.me URL: https://nostr.band/npub10r8xl2njyepcw2zwv3a6dyufj4e4ajx86hz6v4ehu4gnpupxxp7stjt2p8
What do you like better about it?
Definitely an idea I've had, but would require a whole bunch of back-end work. Might also need to be a paid service, otherwise it would pretty much have to store all of Nostr.
nostr:nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0h3gy93 what happened to the old website? the redirect is bad UX and new users don't have a straight forward way to download (nosta.me profile content doesn't render well on mobile)
What problems do you see on mobile?
Should Nosta profiles show your Cashu wallet (the balance would only be shown to you)? Or the Cashu mints that someone uses, which could be helpful for discovery?
Thanks. There was a technical issue recently where none of the profiles loaded, maybe you checked during that time.
One feature idea is to let you customize your profile - choose which sections you want visible, and in which order. That would be a nice one to have.
Sorry, I hope English works. What is some of the information missing from Nosta.me profiles? Would be great to hear for testing and improving.
Also working on making that easier... https://primal.net/e/note1ftyhhwsk2tvy5wsgq4vjh47aen0nfrkrk27wdnzgl2t47lqacfjs5ulm4c
There's now a dedicated screen for editing your relays on Nosta ( this first version is likely too complicated). You can see various statistics for the connection, so you can make a good decision on whether to keep or remove a relay.
Quite a few relays have silently disappeared. This is invisible to users, but does affect them. Ideally, clients can automatically help connect to reliable relays that work best for how someone interacts across the network. Not an easy task to solve. It will take some iteration to get it right, and the features related to this on Nosta will likely be a bit of a construction site for some time.

There is a good chance that one of your relays has gone away. This seems to happen quite frequently, and we don't have a good mechanism to steer people to "good" relays in a simple manner. Guessing it is "nostr-01.bolt.observer" in your case.
Should be fixed now.
Thanks for reporting, will take a look.
