No, those are ANZAC biscuits. Named for the #AUStriches and Kiwis who fought in wars we had nothing to do with, but sent men to die in to appease our Pommie and Seppo overlords whose wives wanted to send something from home that wouldn’t spoil sent from the other side of the planet.

Like many #AUStriches on nostr, I’m from South Australia. The only part of our country settled by free people which is something to have pride in.
The rest were penal colonies turned states - they’re all weirdos who don’t know any better, they embrace the idea of descendants of prison wardens.
Blame the Poms for sailing straight past gorgeous beaches and setting up shop in fucking Tasmania like a bunch of psychopaths.
