Institutions and corporations run on legacy financial software. Asking them to update from old fiat to new fiat is a challenge by itself.
Getting them to update from Fiat to Bitcoin is near impossible. So their crappy systems can only handle Bitcoin if it's wrapped in an ETF.
Because the hard truth is, for most average people, buying and holding bitcoin and holding your own keys is far too complicated and requires a learning curve most people don't want to bother with.
Most people just want "easy" without the need to start learning about a whole new technology. A lot of people barely know how to use their cell phones let alone learning how to buy bitcoin, setting up a hardware wallet and learning all the aspects of hodling.
If you can figure out how to buy an etf than you can figure out how to buy Bitcoin
We know a financial advisor who was/is frustrated that he couldn’t suggest #bitcoin to his clients. Prevented by his company’s policies and “gubment” regulations. Can you imagine how furious some in this industry must be, at this point? Their hands are tied, until, poof, ₿ ETF approval.
