so access to guns should be strongly regulated, to ensure they don't fall into the wrong hand. at least as much as cars. when the 2A was passed, it only applied to the federal government (now it applies to all governments). but back then there were local and state gun control laws.

I know you believe in these myths but for the rest of us, they are parables. The meme here is clearly applying it to guns. We would not limit access to water but we would limit access to chemical weapons. Or slingshots vs missiles. So the question is where do things like guns or cars fit on the spectrum. We should no more decide access today based on the understanding of weapons of the ancients or our founders.
