I know you believe in these myths but for the rest of us, they are parables. The meme here is clearly applying it to guns. We would not limit access to water but we would limit access to chemical weapons. Or slingshots vs missiles. So the question is where do things like guns or cars fit on the spectrum. We should no more decide access today based on the understanding of weapons of the ancients or our founders.

My criticism is of your logic here, and whether or not you feel the need to mock my religion doesn’t affect the validity of my response.

Cain would have used something else to kill Abel if he didn’t have a rock, like a club. Your reply makes sense if Abel also had a rock, or if Cain used a rock to kill like 15 people at once somehow, but that’s not what happened in the story.

There’s a reason why gun control advocates primarily use mass shootings as examples of why gun control is needed, and not things like assassination attempts or suicides.
