That's one of the biggest takeaways, yes!
I like the sentiment but having been a Forward observer, 13F I can assure you that if you are being observed you can be removed from the game. Sometimes being perceived as harmless is better.
Murphy's Law of combat: To stand out is a great way to get shot.
Also: If you live in fear all the time you've already lost.
Finally: No one has killed more people on this planet than those who work for the government. And the number one employer is the United States Government who use Fiat currency so it's only a matter of time before they will eat their own tail.
Exception to above: You are already here, that makes you the progeny of dangerous people.

Being Harmless is a testament to ones incapability of being violent or harmful to others.
Being Peaceful is a testament to your demeanor and conscious choices in life, ie. choosing to be a peaceful person over being unruly, violent and destructive.
The two are not the same.
