The US began as the greatest experiment in minarchy ever attempted and the result has been the most powerful government in human history.

Anarchy is literally how the world operates. Your rulers hold their place through your complicity. The world is in anarchy right now, and America is just the biggest warlord with the most dangerous enforcers. The natural state of being is you own yourself and any claim to anyone else hinges on their compliance.
Minarchy is the fat kid saying "just a bite of cake" while possible, is very unlikely. On top of that, any amount of cake is not necessary for the nourishment of one's body.
I don't trust my state, and barely have some trust in my county (the previous one forced our landlord to evict everyone, without cause, and in an illegal timeframe).
I'm sure if I lived in city limits, I'd be leary of them too.

That's a long list!
Part of it involves ignoring the state's requests, and forging ahead without including them.
I have been creating local parallel systems using Private Membership Associations, instead of involving any public legal impediments.
I could probably spend an hour or more writing everything, but that's not going to happen today.
