He definitely would have made some kind of deal. He seems like that kind of guy. And I really believe that it will be the best thing for Ukraine & west to sit at the table, negotiate with Russia.

I think it's the opposite, both Trump and Putin himself know Putin's endorsement is toxic, so he asks Putin to endorse his opponent. It's like an anti-endorsement.
