Why don’t we have a Bitcoin circular economy already? It’s been 15 years…
Discussion
Let’s say, 5 years since we’ve had the proper tools for it in the ecosystem. Still too long.
Well, there are a few that are rising in the last years, to be fair. Bitcoin valley in Rovereto is an interesting example of that. Same for Bitcoin Jungle in CR!
A bunch of economically illiterate people got involved and started to endorse dumb narratives like “Bitcoin is a digital asset”.
Taxes
That is a good question
People have to take responsibility. Blaming the lack of buyers for the lack of Bitcoin spending is, frankly, stupid.
The problem here is not the lack of buyers it's the lack of sellers. Quality sellers. Gresham law is real and People have no incentives beyond idealism to spend their bitcoins for a mug they can buy at Walmart.
Bitcoin will first make it's way in the market of excellence. Bitcoin is exceptional and will first want to aquire the exceptional. If you want to grow the circular economy you must take your responsibility and learn to offer an exceptional product.
It's going to be hard tho I'm telling. This myth where you can just start selling stuff for bitcoin and people will line up to encourage you is... yeah a myth. Trust me after 2 years I know. You are gonna have to be excellent for real. There's no shortcut.
But that's Bitcoin and I believe the rewards will be just as great as the challenge was in a decade or two.
Take on a Bitcoin craft, lower your time preference, learn to be excellent and stop blaming the buyers. Just get good until you create the buyers.

Will do!
Look to nature. 👁️ 🌳
Would you be up for buying art with Bitcoin? If you ready, get started
Because Bitcoin's most important use case isn't money, although that's a handy side effect.

I am in the process of setting up a supplement store that will accept bitcoin. I have had a biz for six years and it has hodl'ed for five. But it is incredibly daunting to accept bitcoin as payment, mainly due to taxes and volatility. I will definitely take a hit on this, hopefully just at first. As of right now, it seems accepting bitcoin to be a middleman for goods you don't produce, is a labor of love. It is the wild west and takes a certain mindset to dive in.
Realistically any major social change takes about 20 to 50 years.
I'm set Up to accept Bitcoin. I dont know the answer yet, but perhaps the answer to convincing customers to use Bitcoin líes in the price and discount.
I charge the high hundreds/ low thousands for my services. Will a 20% discount make It worth people's while to get with the program to save literally hundreds?
Past experience says a high value discount on a proven market price should be more enticing ( to put Up with a bit of friction) than 20% off a coffee.
We shall see. Dabbling in some research, It is clear that there needs to be a clear set of instructions about where to exchange € for BTC, set Up a wallet on the fly. One person thought Bitcoin cash would be fine, surely. Make no assumptions!
