After my talk on Bitcoin and Psychedelics at the Bitcoin Freedom Festival someone asked me where I see the connection between the two topics.

The symbiotic nature of bitcoin and psychedelics has always been intuitive to me so I didn't have a great answer at the time.

At the surface level the two topics have nothing to do with each other, but at their core the psychedelic movement and the bitcoin movement have an ethos of sovereignty, liberation, and peace.

Any topic can be related to bitcoin. I just happen to think these are two parallel emerging paradigm shifts will amplify and bolster each other.

Hippies in the 1960s saw what was happening in Vietnam and wanted to divest from unnecessary political/commercial violence.

Bitcoiners in the 2020s see what the military industrial complex is doing and want to divest from the monetary debasement which funds unnecessary political/commercial violence.

Inflation pays for wars, not taxes.

Bitcoiners know this. The hippies didn't. They thought that if they exited the system and opened their hearts they could change the world, but without a structural shift in the fabric of society the movement was ultimately a failure and the wars continued..

Now that the Byzantine general's problem has been solved we have a the coordination mechanism to starve the fiat matrix and end a vast majority of armed conflict across the planet.
