Many people have gotten on my case over the years, especially recently, about pitching Bitcoin and having “the left” accept and understand it. The left, as it exists today.

But here’s what I have to say about that

Many bitcoiners (myself included) fighting for greater freedom and freedom tech are counter cultural

So why is it so hard to understand that the current culture may be resistant to it? It’s not about making Bitcoin and our collective advocacy fit into that culture

It’s about culture change. I hate to burst your bubble if you want or need me to be someone I’m not.

The criticism is that it doesn’t make sense to pitch Bitcoin towards a group whose values so strongly oppose it.

There are many freedom minded people who aren’t on the “left” who still haven’t gotten why Bitcoin is a significant idea, and more work needs to be done to bring Bitcoin mainstream.

What purpose does it serve getting the “left” involved?

Non libertarian left will be priced out. That's good. Everyone will get Bitcoin at the price they deserve and authoritarian left will get it at $100M/btc. Good.

I mean probably not wrong, simply put

The money separate from the state, all capital bad left will surely be the last to get this or even use it unless they have to

IDK if you know nostr:nprofile1qqst9ge7953et4c854glcpp7ctdcke2ml0jf2m4dltdav9dppalp5usppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyfhwumn8ghj7mmxve3ksctfdch8qatz9uq32amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k7tcywv3cf but he's been talking about many of the same issues you're raising.

Where are you getting resistance from in terms of promoting Bitcoin to the Left? The people on the Left who reject it, or people on the Right who say some variation of "don't invite them into the clubhouse"?

Bitcoin fails if it’s not money for everyone
