Sorry y’all. I posted this before I realized my card reader was plugged into my microphone, that creates high-pitched whine on the video’s audio. nostr:note1wqc3644qw49swcz9suu9zgrx4l440mvykvnx34ajcya0es5rvgesrx73k0

Mic jammers are awesome
Does it make different noises when swiping a card?
Silence when swiping, or else there would be a new payment medium, I promise!
i can guess it's your pc's built in intel audio input, in which case, i got a cheap and cheerful Marantz USB condenser that works great, picks up sound perfectly, not Shure but it's adequate, and came with a very handy, very long cable that also carries 20W USB charge perfectly
if you are doing podcasts or video with your pc and need decent audio, probably a lot of other condenser mic USB audio devices are good options too - the Marantz was just quite cheap considering it's serious hardware
it may not be (only) the card reader interface also - on my crappy lenovo ideapad3 one of my ports is really nasty with RF noise to the point it interferes with all of the USB ports as well as making noise on the built in audio device
can't wait to get a better pc but i'm not bungling my next purchase like i did with this one
Thank you! I am on a cell phone at a farmers market, where we take mobile payments. I shouldn’t be taking video, but this was a moment when I was actually free to do so and a bee showed up (we’re beekeepers) randomly. In my haste, I forgot to disconnect the reader from the jack.
ah, yeah
wtf is it these days with phones, no damn microSD sockets anymore!!!
