Woke up like this too, ay?

Sorry, but if you're going to persist in sleeping in until late afternoon Australian time you're going to cop a bit of this.

Lol:)

I'm all for this in the morning 👀

There's also definitely the ed rush &optical and ray Keith signature sounds which especially UK producers can't seem to shake off. Which is great lol

I find it can get a bit old at times, but when it's good it's great.

Yeah, I suppose it's not 'groindbreaking' or whatever you want to call it, music reviewers loved it cos they could jerk off to words like hauntology. It's not really a surprise that it was a mini moment, cos where does this sort of revisiting/referntial sound go? I still revisit it from time to time tho.

Ffs groinbreaking lolol

I like some of the music but always found the term "hauntology" nauseating and it put me off for a long time.

The spectre of jungle haunts the UK, welcome to my Wire article

I think people have done a remarkable amount with it, but there's only so many ways you can cut up the same three breaks.

There was this weird moment I remember when it felt like this was a bit of a 'thing' like a mini movement with raime, demdike, Andy stott, Haxan cloak, the blackest ever black label. I'm sure almost all of em are still going actually, but it did feel like there was a push for this sound. Which I dig.

It died off when no one came up with a snappy genre tag like "IDM". 🤗
