Charlotte Pohl, 19, and Maria Lepere, 18, flew to Hawaii for a 5-week island-hopping trip. CBP took one look at their half-planned itinerary and said: jail time.
Despite valid travel clearances (ESTA), they got strip-searched, tossed in cells with real criminals, and told to avoid the expired prison food.
Next morning? Deported. Because apparently not pre-booking your vacation is now a national security threat.

It is pretty common for young German girls to travel while doing some jobs here and there. My sister in law made friend of a group of 5 girls in Córdoba Argentina and I met 2 German girls doing the same (traveling and working) in Costa Rica.
Sending innocent young traveller to jail just because they don't have a detailed plan or because they will do some silly temporary job is absurd.
