There’s something about this recent creatine craze that seems off.

Just get it naturally from your steak.

Also I still haven’t met anyone IRL who regularly takes it that isn’t bald or balding.

Anyone here been taking it long term that swears by it?

My hair is fine after 35 years 5 grams a day.

I cycle off once a year for 45 days or so.

I’ve been taking creatine for about 2 years now. I notice a huge difference in the way I feel when I take it vs when I don’t.

The main difference for me is when I exercise, I feel much weaker and lower energy without it.

After a ton of research and personal experience, I’ve discovered that it’s mandatory to have a combination of high intensity exercise and to drink a lot of water.

Also, my entire family urges me to get a haircut due to the length and ugliness of my hair. So all good on that end too lol

Is the reason after exercising you feel weaker without it is because it helps with recovery? Is this similar to how potassium aids in recovery as well? At least that’s what I read somewhere.

It most definitely helps with recovery, but that’s not entirely the reason. Creatine also helps your muscles produce a certain type of energy which helps a lot during exercise. I may be mistaken but I believe it’s called ATP

Interesting. So do you find it best to take it prior to exercise or is it something where you have a build up where your body uses it as needed?

You most definitely won’t feel the effects right away. After about 2 weeks of taking it on a daily basis you may notice more strength and energy, along with significant changes in the way your muscles look and feel due to more water circulation.

I‘ve heard people take it before they exercise, others also say after exercise is best, I don’t think really matters. As long as you are taking it on a daily basis, regardless of if you’re planning to exercise. It should essentially be a part of your routine, so that you take it at around the same time every day.

Thanks for the info 🤙🏼

I will look into this further and maybe give it a try
