Some people here break the branches on purpose. Since the healed part is stronger than the original branch, it can hold heavier colas/buds.

Auto flower plants are suitable for the defloliation technique, removing the fan leaves when they are blocking the new shoots and opening the shoot buds + LST so that every shoot receives light evenly.
