Because Russian product is associated with low quality, while German, Japanese, etc. is the opposite. It's not just a stereotype, there are reasons for it. So local manufacturers have learned to use it to their advantage.
Also, Cyrillic fonts are often poorly made and look worse than Latin fonts.

I find it sad though. I'm actually looking forward the day when "Made in Russia" is a sign of quality. Not just within Russia, but outside of it too. Because that'd signal that a tectonic paradigm shift has happened within Russia, and the world in general has likely become a better place because of it.
About fonts, this is really true. Some small businesses have to write their names in English on purpose, simply because the Cyrillic alphabet looks terrible. And the problem is not just with щ ж ъ ц ф etc., but with very common у р н з ч
russia, bulgaria, all the cyrillic using places, they are better quality, and it's a sign that with only bulgaria they got cyrillic onto the euro banknotes
more efficient, better designs, mostly better, things from places where they write in cyrillic are better
it should also be reinforced, because most people don't know, that cyrillic was invented in southwest bulgaria and the region now known as "northern macedonia" by students of cyril and methodiy, who devised glagolitsa, a pan-slavic script idea that failed
and by the way that region is amazing... just nearby Rila Mountain and Pirin is Blagoevgrad, beautiful little town, with a giant glowing white cross always above it

i am not sure where you are from or what you have seen but bulgaria is one of the best countries in the EU yet they don't grant it full membership, and russia is one of the most important economic powerhouses of the EU and right now they are idiotically shunning them over the fact that THE FACT THAT the ukrainian government was protecting and letting a bunch of fucking nazis run around killing over 14000 russians
i say this as an australian who has migrated to europe and spent a lot of time in bulgaria
whatever the western media is telling you is bullshit, they were killing russians in ukraine way back in 2014 and not long after i made friends with a russian/ukrainian who was in netherlands trying to get asylum from russia but probably he should have been also begging for asylum from ukraine as he was from both, and last i heard he was in ukraine so i hope he is ok (he is a smart guy and a tank so i bet he is ok)
Russians are definitely not saints, but overall yes, the CIA did a "good" job in Ukraine
