It isn't a crowning achievement for you, but it is for your parents.

Paying respect to your parents and providing something to aspire to for your kids. 🫡🙌

Your kids getting married shouldn't be a crowing achievement for parents either. Their happiness and a healthy relationship with God should be.

If that's what they get from marriage great! But for many it's not the case. I'm with nostr:nprofile1qqsp4lsvwn3aw7zwh2f6tcl6249xa6cpj2x3yuu6azaysvncdqywxmgprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvq9n8wumn8ghj7enfd36x2u3wdehhxarj9emkjmn99ah8qatzx9e8gmr3vdsnsu3kv96hjcthx4hr26pnds6ngv3jv3kngumj0y6kg7nxv4jngd3exen8zefcwvm8zem4v34hxdmydf6xvuelvfex7ctyvdshxapaw3e82egpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejs5mzk3a on this one Jimmy.

There was no ‘should’ mentioned. Somethings just are sometimes. If my kids choose to marry, I will feel it as a crowning achievement- they are healed and hopeful. If they choose not to marry, my crowning parental achievement will lie elsewhere. Life is more complex and beautiful than ‘shoulds’ and ‘shouldn’ts’
