Contraian thinking

Yes!! Absolutely! Never follow the herd…

I’m more so inquiring about specific skill sets such as electrical work, farming, etc..

Growing food. Mending clothes. Auto work. Electronic repair.

You know what’s wild? In 2023 the average brain surgeon earns $207 an hour.

The average mechanic earns $200 - $250 an hour for non-US made vehicles.

Insane.

husbandry

Mechanics, carpentry, repurposing, electrical, inventing, gardening, welding, homemaking, preserving, cooking, tailoring, hunting, gathering, storytelling, ect…

Love it!

We all have skills, and value it’s only a matter of the correct application of them.

Critical thinking, honesty, communication, a get-shit-done attitude, etc. All trade is done among people, so get along with them. See eye-to-eye and don't get caught up in drama and other BS.

Plumbing

I'd say a bit of everything.

I think the era of the generalist will be dominant for a few decades.

Trade & trust will break down in the fiat system & people will rely on those that they have existing relationships with.

For me, I want to do as much as I can around the homestead. I won't want unknown people on my land.

Hiring a 5.5 tonne excavator next week. Processing sheep & cattle is next on the list.

DCAing skills & experience.
