Many people live in fantasy worlds where there aren't cultural, psychological, philosophical, political, and religious differences between individuals and groups of humans. Not everyone is a pura vida hippie. There are people out there who want to murder and rape your family for not sharing their religion. There are others who would do it for no other reason than they want to.

I've seen some of the darker side of reality, and many of your little fantasies would get a lot of people killed if carried out. Not everything is a psyop. Some of it is just good old reality that you don't want to face.

That’s the other side of “unplugging”: just because you decided to ignore everything that happens in the world doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

True. I try to keep this in mind.

You're right — evil is real, and pretending it doesn’t exist is dangerous. But recognizing the darkness doesn’t mean we have to abandon all hope or ideals. Wisdom is knowing when to extend peace, and when to defend what’s sacred. Truth walks a narrow road between naivety and paranoia.

Well, you're absolutely right. But would you be open for a fair discussion?

The same way you think that Iranians (perhaps a larger population, but I'm assuming from the few posts I read from you) want to murder or rape you, your family or your countrymen, they think different western armies/powers want to murder and rape them.

But guess what, the difference in scale and diversity is absolutely tipped your way. That's what Americans did during the Pax Americana decades. It happened in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, and in many other places. It's what the US-government-supported Israel has been doing for almost 80 years to Arabs of all kind (and even before it's existence during British mandate, but that would be during pax Britannica). Millions of people died around the world because of America and American allies. The large majority of them were civilians who wouldn't personally want to murder anyone; maybe only for wanting to avenge their families.

Let's be honest, one of the main reasons that the goodness of my people, Arabs and Muslims in general, is virtually hidden is the immense pressure (call it the century of humiliation) that western powers have exerted on us. This created a severe reaction; Your so-called evil. This is filtered out intentionally or unintentionally by the media and politicians; and what you receive is absolutely flawed.

Not saying we're without blame, we have our problems and issues. Heck, we have created many a tyrant, and their hands are as bloody as America's or Israel's if not more. But that's not the point.

My point is, without building bridges, it will always be a dog-eat-dog world. If you point a gun at me, don't expect me not point one at you. If you kill my people, don't expect my people not to hold it against you. If the West leaved us alone, we'd be much better off. But that's not gonna happen naturally because the powers that govern you have clearly set the rules that the region must be controlled. So it is either by force, or by western civilization collapse; either way the people in both sides won't like it, and either way it will pit us against one another. The only third way is submission, but that's a short term solution, and, naturally, humans never like it.

I agree with that. People who are born and have grown up in a given culture can struggle to integrate in a different one. A clash of cultures is rarely a good thing and can be violent.

Freedom to move around the world is fine, as much as anyone moving to a new place is able to at least understand and respect the local culture, if not adopt it.
