If we’re wrong, it would need to be disproven as true

Well, for one, at least in non-banana-republics, politicians don't directly profit financially from money printing. It just enables them to remain in power longer than otherwise, and maybe opens some job opportunities later. So at least part of your assumptions aren't 100% correct.

I don’t know what you mean, Politicians stay in power by making sure they and their friends get rich. Money printing helps them do that.

If you reduce all motivation of politicians to just mere power and money, then you may be right. I personally believe some haven't lost all of their humanity yet.

Sure, some might still have a little humanity left—just not enough to get in the way of their bank accounts.
