The worst community in this space has to be the NFT degens honestly.
Totally opposite of bitcoiners. It's exclusionary and rife with "influencers" peddling dump and dumps. Only people who make money happen to know the right people so you get whitelisted for the next drop which is then relentlessly shilled only afterwards so influencers can use their followers as exit liquidity.
It's all I fucking saw.
No care for the values and ideals like bitcoiners either. They happily KYC with a company selling jpegs to get a token drop (e.g. Apecoin).
Point of saying all that is I used to be in that space and Nostr is just such a great breath of fresh air.

I will never forget the kindness and generosity all you guys even non-carchainers I interact with on the regular and all the support you guys have given me, whether it's likes zaps, general conversation, shout outs. The sub communities on here are some the most welcoming and friendly places on the web and their is no sizing you up trying to hustle you, no keeping up with the joneses, no degens, etc. The whole toxic social media influencer culture hasn't arrived yet and I can just talk to normal people. People accept what others bring to the table as long as they are genuine and aren't grifting.
