yeah the fact that he just gave a public lecture at MIT once just so he could say he went to MIT is pretty lame. and his one paper on self driving cars was just an Elon/Tesla simp paper to make Tesla look good that wasn't peer reviewed.

The first one I found was the one where Lex hosted someone to talk about Milton Friedman and Ayn Rand. It was EP 457 with Jennifer Burns (idk who this lady is and never bothered to look into it more).
What drove me to this episode was that I remembered Lex's name because you shared some of his other episodes. But as soon as I clicked on any of the episodes you shared, I couldn't stand his podcasting approach, his manner of speaking or his voice. These are all subjective points though. But they were my thoughts. I powered through that one episode because of how enamored I was with Ayn Rand. Ironically, Ayn Rand would be rolling in her grave if she knew that, and more importantly, cared about who I was š¤£
I now saw the video you shared. The red flags that stood out to me was when he was talking about love. I swear what is it with narcissistic fakers and their constant need to preach love?
As soon as someone talks about love & loving someone else, my alarms get triggered.
Maybe it's because my experience with love is: it isn't spoken into existence. It's either there or it isn't. There's no need to preach its hymns, which is what seemingly disingenuous people always do in the hopes of finding it.

Iāve said Lex is a spook for YEARS. He seemed like an ego maniac in his early Rogan interviews, then he had suspicious guests whom he platformed very favourably. Now do Bret Weinstein, total sham claiming intellectual superiority based on absolutely nothing. Tim Dillon is spot on.
Itās so weird how much Joe Rogan has a blind spot for people he believes are āgeniusesā. I watched Lex on JRE and though I didnāt question his credentials, it was clear to me he wasnāt some super genius.
Compound that with all the years gone by and he doesnāt seem to have produced anything that valuable. What AI research has he really done? Why doesnāt he publish more? Joe said he was independent, wtf does that mean in a space thatās outrageously capital intensive?
I donāt think Joe is compromised, but he has massive blind spots.
