What is the secret to success? #asknostr
Discussion
Never giving up.
That’s all though?
Luck, timing, hard work are also involved. But depends on your definition of “success.”
Luck is a factor? Success is achieving your goal
Who invented the light bulb? Thomas Edison, right?
American-British inventor Hiram Maxim tried to patent a light bulb at nearly the same time as Edison, but Maxim's patent was not granted by the U.S. Patent Office until July 1880.
I wanna believe in luck as a poker player, but she is a fickle bitch lol
If Lady Luck is against me, am I doomed?
“I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it” - Thomas Jefferson
Solid quote! But, is he saying he only got lucky because he worked hard?
While often seen as separate concepts, "luck" and "hard work" are generally considered complementary, with the idea that hard work can increase your chances of encountering fortunate circumstances, essentially creating your own luck by being prepared when opportunities arise; meaning success usually comes from a combination of both factors.
How much effort would you say someone should spend trying to cultivate luck in relation to how hard they work? And, what if someone just feels like they’re an unlucky person? Sorry to push back so much. I love this topic.
It’s definitely easier to give up I’d say, but there’s surely more to it
Setting the goalpost of success properly
Hmmm, how do we determine that if the limits of mankind are limitless?
Society wants you to believe that in order to gain success that others need to view you as successful. This is a false pretense.
Appropriate goal setting is less about WE and much more about ME. Once you yourself are able to accurately set the goalpost for success; and ultimately achieve that upper bound. You find that the limiting factor of success all along; was you.
Having found a success you learn to only seek within for the next appropriate goalpost and forgive yourself when it wasn’t appropriate enough.
Courage 👀
That’s all?
Courage is an incredible quality but some brains would have to be involved, no?
You're overthinking it 👀
Hmm 🧐 maybe
Remember some of the most successful people are absolute morons -- if you are overthinking something you are on pause; success requires momentum... Have the courage to move forward and deal with unforeseen contingencies as they arise and only if they arise 👀
Ok, I can see that. Courage could be the secret to success! Thanks 🙏 I zapped you in spirit since you don’t have a ⚡️ button
Do the boring things consistently and make sure that you do hard things everyday.
After just 1 year of this, success will come.
Solid formula
Living long enough
Having touched the Bottom once and bounced back.

on the right path ALWAYS 💪🏿
How do you determine that?
by always self reflection, evaluation and ask for comments
I like that
