I was pretty sick last week with a bad case of the flu (or some other flu like illness, I didn’t test to know what it actually was). I’ve mostly recovered now except that I have absolutely zero sense of smell.. Has anyone else experienced this before and how long did it take for the sense of smell to return? Any tips to speed the healing process? #asknostr

It’s been doing the rounds. Have heard of many that have been wiped out by it for 1-2weeks. Both vaxxed and not. Ive been happy to avoid it to date. Not speed up sensory recovery tho sorry
Yeah there are a few things going around here. I’d managed to avoid it all winter despite being around family and work colleagues who were sick but it finally got me.. pretty much felt like shit all week last week but now it’s mainly just the annoyance of loss of smell..
Happened to my GF with COVID march 2020. She was fine, but did lose smell for weeks
Covid
Possibly given the loss of smell although the symptoms were quite different to last time I had covid.
That's wild. Other then having a congested sinus.
I had this when I had the FLU in 2021. No smell for a month or two then a strange spell of it returning where I'd have 'phantom' smells.
