I had assumed it would be client side as well. I didn't expect it to transfer to other platforms... would be nice if there was a uniform way to export the setting profiles and upload them into other clients, but that's asking a lot 😅

In a way, the more customizable a client is the less likely someone will stray to a new one at the drop of a hat.

I want to stop doing local settings. Everything should be on Nostr, on relays.

Including your censorship filters?

Why?

Why it should be on relays?

Because everything already is.

Probably because of each client does it locally you start down a road of features that aren’t portable. If I don’t want to use Vitor’s client and want to go to Damus and my list doesn’t move with me…we’ve kind of centralized a feature around a client.

Plus you may want to keep a person muted across different types of apps.

Just my 2 sats.

I guess you could store keywords in a NIP-51 list then?

Yes! This is highly needed (at least for me x3). Because of this feature, I made my friends' experience on Twitter from horrible to enjoyable.

Yesssssssss

A few times I updated amethyst (in the past. Lately it's been so gravy) and it would completely forget the hashtags I was following.

If it was all saved to protocol associated with my npub

*Chef's kiss*

That's because another client is erasing it. We have always saved hashtags in the contact list. It's was never local.

I appreciate your commitment to decentralization 🙏

That’s silly.

U silly

Private and encrypted ofc 🫠🫵

I think it is like this. This is in Nostrmo, client side keywords filtering. Blocks tab is pubkey block, while Dirtywords based on keyword block list.
