Sorting and brooder eviction day. Only 13 out of 40 birds were hens unfortunately. The 2 roos I decided to keep weighed in at 7 and 7.2 ounces. Not too bad for 3 weeks old I think. #grownostr #quail #homestead
OMG. Only 14 out of 40 are hens?! I have 9 baby chicks right now and was hoping that at least 7 are hens. This makes me feel that’s probably not going to happen🤦♀️😫

Even worse, only 13 hens! 33%! Technically 50% is average but nature doesn’t always follow math. 🤷🏻♀️ hopefully you have better luck. Are you raising chickens or quail?
