Amazing π₯π₯π₯ insane
Thatβs really cool
Whatβs your all in cost on a build like this??
With the cost of ASICS right now no more than $300
π do you have a parts list posted somewhere yet? We are in the market for a space heater and this would give me a great summer activity
Iβll post an updated list in a bit.
-Antminer S9
-AC Infinity CLOUDLINE S6
-GL.iNet GL-AR300M16-Ext Wireless Router
-Direct Current Converter 12V to 5V 3A 15W Buck Converter Module
-Antminer 6inch Duct shroud from Cryptocloaks
-Snare drum stand
The shroud didn't fit well with the fan so I removed it in this photo. You can see it in my previous posts (orange).
Also, I'm not a fan of the expensive fan π but it is very quiet. Going to experiment with some other fans and the overall setup so I expect many changes soon.
Forgot I replaced the S9's power supply fan as well with : Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX
Much quieter than stock.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing all this! Any tips on where to start looking for used ASICs? Do you know of a reputable site?
I usually test my luck with sellers on telegram. Once I get this thing more fine-tuned I might try to organize a group buy and can let you know.

Does anyone know if nostr:npub1q4zl8v0cpeu0lv47msq2z0jpkr2q3wq5d4ukylxg9sx7t7rcz0uq5ftv7q works outside the US?
Looking for S9 in the EU but I can't find one cheaper than 150β¬ or 200β¬. π€¨
nostr:npub1esqdgzkn283a7s4upj3rppkrpu54hwkrf8d7w56p3jlhr7mhvccs986x2u did you ever test any other fans? Iβm pricing this out right now with current miner prices and the fan is almost 40% of the cost!
Is there a reason not to go with this simpler one from the same company? Looks like the db are similar and airflow is still higher than the stock S9. Of course I may be missing a lot hereβ¦
Girlfriend approved?
Needs an IV pole for disguise.
Running 1K watts at 47dB without a box using an inline fan. Also swapped out the dusty stock power supply fan for noctua made a huge difference.

Solo mining the space heater every night for a few weeks now.
Zaps for everyone if I hit the jackpot.

Bravo, sir.
This is incredible! Do you have a video with sound? Curious just how quiet it is!
About 47db a bit louder than a whisper. https://nostr.build/av/0d641f51335d80dfff28df22c562ad8a65b29efa77db0dd4c76dcf055e3e68c0.mov
