I’m avoiding most public commentary since everyone on my Twitter timeline is an overnight Middle East expert anyway.

War like this is terrible. The attackers going after civilians are monsters. And that’s going to spur a massive response from Israel, likely killing far more civilian Palestinians.

I’m on the side of civilians on both sides; not a fan of Israel’s treatment of Palestine and how that treatment contributes to extremism, but also I am obviously against Hamas and their actions.

Civilians just want peace regardless of their location. Always the pawns…

That’s a great level headed take nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a. Sadly endless war is a feature of our current system with the biggest beneficiaries being the military industrial complex and the biggest casualties being the civilians. Zooming out and disengaging from the intense, divisive commentary is very difficult to do. Look forward to the day that sound money disincentives endless wars.

The Anatomy of the State is a worthwhile re-read at this point. You are equipped with tools to put the pieces of the puzzle together. States work together to have their populations conclude that the enemy is the other side of the border. This makes them less likely to realise that their own "leaders" are their enemies. "Leaders" are willing to sacrifice their own people to create this perception. Religion is often used as a powerful tool as part of the process. Overall, once people are sufficiently afraid, you can bully them to agree into more control measures over your life. The big thing that prevents people from understanding all of this is that they cannot believe that the USA/UK/EU/Russia/Ukraine/China/Israel/Palestine/Iran/Turkey/etc... leaders are all working together on this. Once that penny drops, it all makes sense. And it is deeply disturbing. I am anxious about this reality every day of my life. Nobody is really safe.

I think it's possible that a REAL split between these forces might still come one day. But we are not witnessing that yet.

We have no enemies

Im with you.

Im muting all of the overnight experts.

Blame never stops hostility.

There is really no point in engaging in any conversation. Everyone is entrenched, and rightly extremely emotional. I just hope people understand that in the end more ppl die.

Humans created their own mental prison of electromagnetic control and deception, and then tossed the keys of our self destruction to a kinetically weaker but superior form of intelligence. This puppet master enemy of ALL humans is weaponizing our primal emotions of self destruction, and is yet to be identified.

This verifies you as a human beeing nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a

Thank you for not beeing an android or something...

Think we all need some hugs theese days.

So here is at least my virtual one for you and the plebs here.

I wish you would see that #Hamas = #Mosad... #Palestine people are so different than what the Hamas says...

Question why Israel doesn’t allow civilians to run and open border for them rather than to let them die.

nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a I think you’ll appreciate this. A nuanced take that captures many of the complexities.
