Austrian economic autists insist that Bitcoin isn't money because it's not a "common" medium of exchange. That is, it's not accepted everywhere.

But by that definition nothing is money because I can't use it in to pay taxes in Portugal.

That's not just stupid, it's motivated reasoning.

Those who say that are simply doing mental gymnastics. I think they're larping as austrian school people.

If everyone an individual economically interacts with accepts something as money, then it is money for the individual. It doesn't matter to the individual if everyone else accepts it or not.

Bitcoin already is money for a lot of people. Those who say it isn't money are basically saying that it isn't money to *them*, and that's okay.

Besides, 'widely accepted' is quite open to interpretation and arbitrary.

This a conversation from 2015 or what? Who's still this behind?

this is Jimmy's "people are saying" engagement fishing

he's clinging to any relevancy he can maintain

it's very strange. when the SOV vs MOE debate was new, many people were calling the MOE people keynesians. jimmy is having one of those pretend arguments with an imaginary person like what you do when you are taking a shower.

Those are the best arguments, and the best imaginary people

he's sad he used to be cool.

are these "austrian economic autists" in the room with us now?

do they know of "Gresham's Law"

are they aware that an exchange requires agreement on payment medium?

are you going to fix your nip-05 verification? your post looks like its from an impersonator to me

also, idk why you mention portugal but the only taxes you can't avoid here are import duties, and they are astronomical

Hmm. Sounds like there's opportunity for a dude with a boat

i've seen some pudgy GNR but i suspect that they do shoot

I'm an Austrian economic autist and I approve this message.
