Nostr, Bluesky, Mastodon, Farcaster and X are all stagnant or declining. Threads by contrast is growing quite well. Maybe the conclusion to be drawn is that the bulk of microblog scrollers these days just want soft, they want fun, they want a break from the stresses of everyday life, they want hobbies, they want laid back discussions, the kind you can check in and check out of whenever. They don't want to rage against the machine, or to rage against each other, at least not in large doses. They don't want "topical". They just want to relax and scroll through a few quaint posts before getting back to what they were doing before. Which, I mean, fair enough.
