XMR is good, but I'd rather have a world running on BTC rather than XMR. I can hide my BTC, the US government can't.

You can hide and the gov can't. That is either a good joke, or naive, or something else. Cannot tell.

Its like when gov says its want back doors that the bad guys cannot use.

Try watching a whale chasing fish and see if you can track one of the fish. There's no missing the whale.

If you can hide your Bitcoin, why couldn't they?

And if they can't that's exactly why they wont use it

Because I'm a little fish in a school. They're a whale.

Also they don't have a choice but to use it. The second largest holder of BTC after Satoshi is the US gov. So they're in it whether they like it or not. They hold forever, we win, they dump it on the market, we win.

Besides, BTC is the standard. Everything else is a copycat. There's no replacing the original in this case. Just like anybody can make a hundred Monero clones, but why would anybody use them and build infrastructure around them?

You need to lay off the hopium

Even if you can see them moving funds...so what? What are you going to do about it? You already know right now that they send billions to foreign nations and no one does shit about it. You think that's going to change? They will use it's transparency against the average Joe though! Bet on that

They're not going to let you use Bitcoin on white markets unrestrained either. They're going to restrict and burden it thru regulations, taxes, or outright ban it.

Bitcoins success is not inevitable and you do it a disservice to believe that instead of thinking adversarially like older Bitcoiners did before your ilk
