this is my current wallet. it’s got this harder outer shell on it. not sure if you can replicate this style but I’d buy a replica if I could get the same hardness on the outside but your leather and craftsmanship on the inside 
These wallets have a shell cordovan on the outside. It is quite rigid to the point of staying open by themselves when new.
I think it would satisfy you, the problem is I don't offer this identity card opening on the left. I haven't learned this yet. (I'm guessing there's some sort of plastic protecting the card?)

that looks perfect. the identity card is covered by a mesh, i’m sure you could find something of that nature. the identity card has a section behind it for extra card storage as well accessible from the right side of the pocket. same with the other side of the wallet. if you could replicate that, my sats are yours.
