My perception of a real time difference between #Nostr and #Twitter

A higher % of people on #Nostr have thought through the 2nd, 3rd and 4th order effects of what is happening with markets.

Maybe because they’ve already done the work and they’re focusing their time on building the future.

Proof of Work 🤙

Had a conversation on protecting our blueberry bushes from the coming frost last night. Not sure that would have shown up on anyone's page on twitter.

Once I understood what future nostr represented I switched over to start building the future I want to see happen. I get a new found feeling of agency that is just not possible in the legacy centralized system.

This ability comes naturally as a result of Bitcoin study.

🙏

Jeff, the saying goes: we are so early, right?

It´s not only #Nostr << >> Twitter.

Today I saw a conversation (does not matter where); it went:

_______________________

new user (NU):

"I created an account on https://... Can I use it for live transactions?"

maintainer 1 (M1):

"only if you trust the operator of that website."

NU:

"if it can not be trusted, why it is listed on your site? How can I know which one is trusted.

Can you please suggest what should I use? send me the details please."

M1:

"thats not how it works. This is a community effort and those are community run instances. The best solution is to run one yourself.,"

M2:

"@a..... use your own like https://www..........."

(one click installation)

NU:

........empty for now ............

Uff

Yep. I am busy building #[2]. Also realized that #nostr protocol can completely takeover the #digitalcredentials space, but that is a few years out.

Who in your mind is on the forefront of thinking through how medicine/health insurance will be impacted? I often feel isolated in a world of healthcare professionals. None seem to have interest

No suggestions for a follow, but I am also curious about this as many medical offices still rely on fax for PHI “sharing”

I can easily see a world where something akin to a pubkey can be provided by a patient to a physicians office to share medical records. Build in links to servers temporarily hosting imaging for review that can be uploaded upon request by physician. So many other ways to implement which would reduce overhead by improving efficiency and removing redundancy. Ultimately can cut overall costs of healthcare. Just spitballing

Not sure if it’s been said, but I feel the only way for #Twitter to stay relevant is to copy the existing UI and interface with #Nostr. May not matter as the existing apps continue to iterate. 🤷‍♂️

We are focusing our time in the future.

Value4value censorship resistant decentralized protocols is the future and we are witnessing it first hand.

The rate at which Nostr is improving is truely staggering too.

💯

Will be funny to hear Jay Powell respond to all his quotes about how they will keep raising rates until CPI is 2% and not a day before.

gonna be impossible. USD inflation will never go back to 2% ever.

Too close to the black hole.

Cypherpunks code and Bitcoiners build

Jeff humour me please. I have a theory of why Satoshi created 21 million BTC but kept 1 leaving 20 million for the masses. It stems from British monetary history.

Gold Guinea = 21 Silver Shillings

British Pound = 20 Shillings

I wonder if this provided him with the numbers we know and love today

Transnostrians Unite!

Hi Jeff, I personally believe Nostr is useless.
