If you run a profitable business with your rental properties it is just like any business with depreciation of assets and positive cash flows that can be intermittently swept into a reserve asset that will appreciate irrespective of money printing

Don't buy real estate for the assumed appreciation but do run profitable businesses

That’s always how I saw it. If the rent is too high, people won’t pay it and landlords have to bring the rent down, free market.

yepper. being a landlord is not rent seeking it is a service to society that is valued as long as you have a tenant
