It means Apple killed Damus. Without zaps, people wonβt use Damus.
The truth is, if youβre on Apple, Windows, google, Android youβre captured.
So removal from App Store doesnβt necessarily mean removal from iPhone correct!?
Sooooo what Iβm hearing is we needa onboard every fucking body in the next 14 days π
But um future updates how is that handled ? We grab the new update directly from website or directly from app ?? nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s

What Iβm saying is letβs say apple does remove Damus from App Store doesnβt remove it from our iPhones, we can still use zaps and everything will be cool, and maybe the distribution of future builds doesnβt happen on the App Store instead on the website or inside the app itself
Convenience really matters. We could also be pen pals and write checks to each and send them via the post office. π€£π
Wym.. whatβs so inconvenient about clicking an update button on a website ? or having it send you an email with the update ? Or even easier having it update from within the app itself ?? seems pretty convenient to me man, idk I ainβt lazy like that
how will new users use damus?
Thereβs this thing called side loading apps basically can download straight from Damus website https://www.lifewire.com/get-apps-not-in-app-store-1999916#:~:text=your%20iOS%20device.-,Sideloading%20Apps,do%20things%2C%20but%20it's%20possible.
I understand this but , the real question is why? like why do we need to go through all of this? A simpler & easy solution should be available for all. Freedom.
Not entirely true. On any other of the major OS you can download binaries and install them to your system. This is a problem tied to the iOS app store monopoly, and the lack of user freedom regarding software installation.
