i don't think that's how the engineering works ... there's usually some margin of error, and people did this by hand... the uniqueness is that they can give you the same strength as before with parts that look like this

so same strength but much less material needed since they don't need all the filler material

Yeah I guess eventually the tech will be widespread enough and open source will be doing the same kind of thing and it can just make that kind of Technology available to Everyday People cars

Yes and with heavy regulations cars have gotten fat and heavy, if we can reverse some of that cars will also drive better
