Very true but there is rare cases that the procedure should be done because of valid medical reasons.
The majority of time it's done for religious reasons and I have questioned the parents and you're right they don't want to admit they were wrong.

If you are Jewish, yes it is religious. 60+% of men in the U.S. are not Jewish, hence the Psyop.
For Christians saying it is a religious requirement, they do not understand the New Testament and should read more of Corinthians or Acts.
