Is a "broadcast" in coracle.social the same as a boost? When I rebroadcast, it doesn't show up on damus or snort as a repost? nostr:nprofile1qqsf03c2gsmx5ef4c9zmxvlew04gdh7u94afnknp33qvv3c94kvwxgspz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3xamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7tpvfkx2tn0wfnszymhwden5te0dehhxarj9cmrswpwdaexwnanw2j

No, broadcast is a way to re-publish the note to your write relays. Helpful if people are having a hard time finding it, or if it's outside your normal network. Sort of a technical detail.
Oh, okay. So when I broadcast another person’s note, it is broadcasting their note to my write relays or to theirs?
How do I boost in coracle?
That will broadcast to your own relays. Coracle has no boost, I object to it on principle. Like, zap, reply, quote, and labeling are all different forms of boosting that aren't as obnoxious, or are more targeted.
Oh, okay. Thanks and interesting take. I would love to hear/read more on this perceptive. Thanks!
Hopefully the quote bug in Damus gets fixed, so that a quoted note ends up in the main feed.
It's just a pet opinion of mine, I haven't thought about it from first principles or anything. Retweets are never the most interesting content on twitter, either on my feed or when looking through my own tweets. They just add noise, and content recommendations based on social graph can be accomplished lots of other ways.
I agree. I am finding that I spend a lot of time scrolling past the same reposts from people I am following.
I was checking out the explore tab on coracle today and I really like how I can explore curated content from people I follow.
I suppose this is another way content recommendations from my social graph can be accomplished without boggy down the main feed.
I really like how you’ve laid out replies in coracle too. It’s much easier to follow the replies on notes from people I follow. The feed has got much quicker too!
Highly respectable perspective, can’t say i disagree
