My nocoiner wife just suggested we take out a loan against her 401k to buy bitcoin.
I think she's a closet bitcoiner.

Just liquidate the 401k, take the penalty and never look back imo. Better than taking on unnecessary debt.
I liquidated a fat IRA and put it into onchain recently.
Fwiw her 401k is mostly MSTR...

So the interesting thing abt this 401k loan is that the interest is paid back to yourself... so yeah it's debt, but also sorta not really. But we can take advantage of the time-value of acquiring more bitcoin earlier.
You can just switch jobs, then you can roll over 401k into an ira and either get the etf or transfer to unchained or Swann IRA
I've done that with one of my IRAs but switch job is not so easy in my wife's situation rn
I had an old 401k that I rolled over and got some gbtc at 50% discount when btc was 16k. Remember also talking about my wife about selling our sailboat but couldn’t let it go. I would have a much bigger boat today 😅
