Discussion
You mean my cubs? I'll be damned if any harm came their way. But I started some family related neurosis and heartrate >200/min when I was expecting the second one and my brain is half melted since, panic attacks, burnout, all that. My husband seriously thinks I should try something to get over past trauma, travel or whatever, because I'm needed and I can't cope properly. And I really don't want to nibble Neurol like some of my friends.
That honestly doesn't sound like a good idea. I do not bash the substances, but in my experience experimenting with psychoactive substances to get over trauma is dangerous. If you decide to go for it, my advice would be for a directed experience led by someone who knows what they re doing. My second advice would be to just try therapy instead.
Yeah, I tried therapy. All I got was "I have nothing to complain about" from three professionals over a few years before kids. Made me believe I'm just spoiled, but something still didn't feel right. Then I figured most of it out myself, listened to Gabor Mate etc. But I absolutely agree guided thing is be best, hence the traveling. I'm so open about this topic to hopefully get some tips.
Then they are bad therapists.
It's not a job of a therapist to decide whether you have a problem or not. Their job is to listen to what you consider to be a problem and help you deal with it.
Unfortunately I cannot give tips regarding guided experiences with psychoactive substances. I rely entirely on hearsay and stories from acquaintances from days long gone.
Personally I only ever experimented for academic purposes and occasionally just for fun, but never for therapeutic reasons.
Thanks anyway. If you had a tip, throw a note my way.π€
I do have a lot of tips for self guided experiences, just not for guided ones.
For instance:
- Do not ever do a lot at once. Start with a little and feed up to the required effect step by step.
- Have someone reliable to watch over you during the entire experience
- Choose the environment appropriately to your substance of choice and the purpose of your experience
- Plan your experience to work regardless of whether you ingest any psychoactive substance or not.
- Stay properly hydrated
- Learn what you can about the substance and it's positive and negative effects, contraindications and adversarial substances beforehand.
- Have a contingency plan for a possible unpleasant experience
- Do not stress about the experience or the substance. Go into it with a light mind. Be prepared, not stressed.
- Don't use any psychoactive substance if anything feels wrong. Don't start or continue unless it feels right. It is better to miss out or let a bit of it go to waste than to have a bad experience.
- Don't repeat use frequently. I'd go for at least two months between sessions. Less is better.
All of the tips should apply regardless of substance and your reason to use.
And most importantly:
DON'T PANIC
All psychoactive substances alter the way you see, feel and understand the world around you. If you aren't used to it, some sensations just feel weird or possibly dangerous.
For instance, many substances increase your heart rate and you may experience a bad trip if you panic about going into a cardiac arrest. (or possibly stress yourself out into one)
Whatever unpleasant situation you get into, try to remain calm and do your best to get out of it.
There's also a company called Psyon in Prague that does psychedelics assisted therapy. https://www.psyon.cz It should fill in both recommendayions from An Capone, therapy and psychedelics with someone who knows what they're doing. Ooh, I had no idea it's legal in Czechia. Thank you so much, I'll check in thereπ
I canβt load the rest of this post so forgive me if this is already mentioned but a most excellent manual for this type of therapy is βMDMA SOLOβ by the Castaglia Foundation.
Thank youπ Guys sent me a link on a clinic in Prague, I wrote there already. As I understand, it's not legal here, but they write about MDMA on that site, so could enlighten me and get me checked at least. I wouldn't be afraid to carefully go solo, but I don't feel like yelling "Yo I'll buy magic mushrooms" out of the window ππ
Oh yeah I know all that. I'm familiar with basics, but not in an urge to get high, so I don't grow and know nobody. I meant rather if you met someone who's into this and can offer services.
Unfortunately no. Since I am no longer active in this area, I don't maintain contact with this kind of people.
My best guess would be to reach out to CZEPS. They should be able to provide you with good, reliable and up to date info about your options.
They're using ketamine, which is legal as anesthetics. They're using smaller doses that have psychedelic effect. The name for using it for a different purpose is off-label. It is pretty surprising something like this exists in CZ, but it's awesome. Only USA and Canada has similar venues.
